Thoroughly enjoyed this. I won’t lie there’s a fair bit that went over my head vocab-wise, but the debate was really interesting and left me with much to think about.
Going into this (without reading the bio) I suspected it would be a perennialist POV vs a deeply religious one (was betting on Christian for some reason) - but it was a lot more nuanced than that.
These are questions that I sit with often as I continually find myself in environments with people seemingly saying much of the same thing but claiming vehemently that they are not (having a Christian background with some fundamentalist family members, quite recently being in a relationship with a devout Muslim, having an interesting history with New Age Spirituality and Awakening for the last 8 years and working very closely with Jewish clients).
